Our Physiotherapist will carry out Orthopaedic and Neurological testing to diagnose your particular issue, before providing you with evidence based treatment, and rehabilitation advice to rectify your problem.
A. Our New Patient Appointments cost £66.00. These are an hour long, and will include a thorough assessment, and treatment. Our Standard Appointments cost £56.00. These are 30 minutes long, which gives us time to get an update from you, do a brief re assessment, and provide you with treatment and advice.
A. We treat patients on a case by case basis, so it’s difficult to put a number on visits. We will always discuss our proposed course of action with the patient, as we go along. It very much depends on the response to treatment, and adherence to advice/stretches/exercises.
A. We use our knowledge of Anatomy along with standard Orthopaedic tests, to find out what is wrong, and what is causing the issue. We then use a combination of evidence based treatment types (Stretches, gentle mobilisation, and soft tissue work) to treat, rehabilitate, and prevent recurrence of the issue.
A. The main difference between Sports Massage Therapy, and Physiotherapy &/or Chiropractic is that only Physio’s and Chiro’s can actually diagnose the issue. So, if you have tight muscles in your shoulders, a sports massage therapist will loosen these for you, and look at your posture. They may refer you to the Physiotherapist or Chiropractor if the problem keeps happening, as there may be a reason that it isn’t improving, but this would require the extra expertise to diagnose the root cause. However, if you have a painful shoulder joint (for example) you should see the Physiotherapist or Chiropractor first, in order to diagnose what the issue actually is. If this is a soft tissue issue, you may then be referred to the Sports Massage therapist for treatment.
A. We are happy to provide a full invoice for you to send off to your insurance company. This means that you pay us for your treatment, and then claim it back from the insurance company. However, you should check with them that they cover Chiropractic/Physiotherapy treatment first. There are some companies that we no longer work with. At the moment these are: BUPA, & AXA PPP.
Nothing gives us greater pleasure than seeing our work make a positive difference to the lives of the people we treat to help them overcome pain.
After just 10 minutes into my appointment, Lucy was able to detect what was causing my pain. She was incredibly professional, gave me lots of advice and I left feeling 2 inches taller and in a lot less pain. Looking forward to my next appointment!
