Acupuncture

Our acupuncturist visits the clinic once a week, and works alongside the rest of the team, adding another string to our bow. Acupuncture promotes overall good health, and can often help with issues that you may have been struggling with for a period of time. Our particular specialism is in Five Element Theory, which can be very effective in managing pain, and relieving anxiety/stress.

What To Expect At Your First Appointment?

After a good chat about your symptoms, and how long they’ve been troubling you for (your case history), we will look at establishing the balances or imbalances of your energetic patterns.

Once we’ve established if there are any imbalances, we will commence with the first treatment. This will be to check the harmony between the Yin and Yang elements of the body. For example: The spleen is a Yin element, and the stomach is the Yang element that balances this. The reason for doing this, is that if there is disharmony anywhere in the body, it can be transferred around the whole system, and this could be the cause of your issue.

Your care plan will be bespoke, and will depend on what is found during the Traditional Diagnosis appointment. It is important to attend your follow up appointments, so that you can give feedback, and so that we can further tailor your treatment.

As this type of Acupuncture focusses on general wellness, we recommend ongoing care. However, as with the initial treatment plan, this isn’t the same for everyone. Some patients require more support at certain points in the year (for example). So this will be discussed with you individually.
